Swapan has overall 35 years of diversified, multi-cultural, multi-country, multi-industry, professional experience in a number of entities in CPSE/MNC/Corporate sectors in areas of General Management, Finance & Accounts, Corporate affairs, Information Technology and Human Resource. The Companies, he has served include MECON, Indian Oil, IRCON, TCIL in public sector, Foster Wheeler, Petron KSS in MNC and NICCO, Punj Lloyd in Corporate sectors.

He is a dynamic business leader, passionate in Strategy Formulation and Implementation, Technology Adoption, Leadership and Talent development.

During his tenure in KIOCL, the Company has made a complete turnaround, achieving highest turnover and profits. He was also entrusted with the Chairman and Managing Director (Additional Charge) for a brief period between 01.07.2021 to 07.09.2021.

Other accomplishment during his tenure in KIOCL include:

• Listing of equity shares in NSE and BSE, two leading stock exchanges in India

• Increase in Operating revenue from INR 206 Crore in FY 2015-16 to INR 3,006 Crore in FY 2021-22

• Turnaround in Profitability from Operating Loss of INR 224 Crore in FY 2015-16 to Operating Profit of INR 376 Crore in FY 2021-22

• Increase in enterprise value from Rs. 700 Crore in FY 2016-17 to INR 14,000 Crore in FY 2021-22
